just a little wish

so it seems impossible to get help around here. I get offers from my mom and mil to help us with packing... but I just feel at a loss for where to begin! I think I would really like for STEVE to be motivated to help me here and to have the kiddo's gone for the weekend -now THAT would totally be helpful! :)

and on another note, I want THIS! :D

Suppose to be scrapbooking tomorrow... hopefully it'll work out. we'll see....

Whenever I move I always pack books first. That's because packing them involves very little thought since they're not breakable, they're something I can do without for a while, and they can be packed in smallish boxes so they're not so much in the way after packing. (Can make a tower out of the boxes which takes up very little floor space.)

Second would be CD's and movies for the same reasons as above.

When somebody offers to HELP me pack (YOU LUCKY GIRL HAVING 2 people offering!) I point them towards non-essential kitchen items. I give them a stack of towels to use as padding, so they're actually helping you pack your linen closet and your kitchen all at the same time. (Be sure to keep out the things you'll need though -- don't want ALL the towels packed when you still have a week left to live in your current house!)

Since they're grandmothers, they might enjoy packing some of the kids' toys, out of season clothes, etc.

Remember, this is a great time to weed out things you don't often use and "bless" someone by giving them away.

I've moved more times than I care to think about, & wish you a smooth & easy move!

That CraftRobo IS pretty sweet. Take any and all offers you get for packing! If I lived close by I'd help you. :)

Have fun scrapping!

We always do major decluttering as we pack... Although then, we get down to the last few hours and just start wildly throwing things into boxes all willy nilly! lol

I dunno about the craft robo--I'm just paranoid about all those electronic cutters... I got a set of titles cut by a Wishblade, and wasn't impressed... Is the Craft Robo better?
