Pearl is such a little sweetie. She loves to cuddle up into my neck it's pretty ticklish and I always worry that she's going to decide to bite me but thankfully so far she hasn't. I think I have her learning to give kisses :)

SHE'S HERE!!!!!

I'd like to introduce you all to our newest family member!!!

Her name is Ocean's Pearl -we call her Pearl.... She is beyond all expectations! She kinda woke up when Steve took this picture... but she was sleeping all snug under my neck.

mmkay, this is not fun, this is SO not fun!

Last night the "date night" TOTALLY bombed! and it was SO not our fault! :( We should have booked'er. It turned out that there only a few peeps getting together for a beer after work.
Quite literally! :| I was expecting at least a dozen or so and figured we were having dinner, drinks, entertainment... you know, a night OUT! ....WRONG! -sure there were a few guys 1/2 of us ordered food, that the other 1/2 ate and didn't pay for. How pathetic. Then they all went home... I was like???? HUH???? WTH? So we went out to our 'favorite' bar/pub -Salainte- it's always happening with live bands that really rock it out celtic style. Last night sucked. This one guy was playing guitar -he was O.K, but we left. Got home @ 9:30. Daws was asleep, Ally still up. It just straight up was NOT a good night and that was just the tip of the ice berg. Dawson woke up barfed in his bed -NICE! :D {cringe} Then I got him back to bed, he woke up again at 2:50 and was up until 1:pm can you say TIRED? not to mention I had a whopping 3 coolers ~says the whiskey drinker! I had a headache before I even went to bed.
I think our next date night is going to be a simple 1 hour at the coffee shop.

Steve has to get an appraisal on his bike for them to register it -he's pissed -I don't blame him that's just the gov't with their hand in our pocket AGAIN! :(
He just took Dawson to the walk in clinic I hope our little guy is o.k he really does NOT look too good!

All this and I want to be super excited that I'm picking up my baby bird this evening... All I want to do is crawl under a rock! :P well, maybe crawl into my bed!

can you believe it? I can't! we're going with some people that Steve works with... I've met a few but only at the Christmas parties where most of the big'uns are present {read: on best behavior so as to not get Steve fired!} ;)
I told him even if the others cancel we're still going out. I asked my mom to come here to babysit the kiddo's... I am STOKED! hmm.. what to wear? I might have to go shopping this afternoon...

I didn't sleep all that great, haven't been for some time now. But Steve made "REAL" coffee this morning and it sure works magic -I even made the kid's and I blueberry pancakes for breakfast. Dawson is ALWAYS wanting 'blueberry' pancakes... he ate his, then barfed... NICE!

K, so I also mentioned a while ago, that I was working on some cards... I've been overly involved in the bird and haven't kept up. But I am at sketch #7 of 134 LOL guess I'd better get my rear in gear!!

Steve rode on the bus to work today and rode home on his motorcycle :)

the kids and I had a really terrible, no good, very bad day. Steve's out doing something after work tonight, but he mentioned taking Friday off -hopefully it'll pan out. I REALLY need a break {sob}

update: it's not a done deal, but looks like Steve found himself a motorcycle :) actually that's a lie, *I* found it, he went and seen it and bought it :) I'm happy for him.

I still am not feeling well. Sucks! Altho' I am scrapping -technically I'm card-making, but I'm in the basement ALONE! ahhh... I just need some pop and chocolate and I'd be set.

I have SO much to do around here... {gulp!} laundry is calling me, the stuff that never got unpacked is somewhat scattered in the kitchen, dining room and is pouring over to the living room. I want to entertain family and friends, but I'm thinking that I must be INSANE to think that THAT would be a good idea. I have a goal set that our house will be in TIP-TOP shape by friday ;)
~yes we have company coming that night~ LOL

Steve saved himself re:the bird once he got home -he's lucky, b/c I was feeling pretty low. He made supper while I worked on laundry and stole a few minutes in my space. I'm starting to think that it may be an idea to have him build a wall down here, but I know that would only REALLY encourage everyone to be in MY SPACE!

Sometimes I think that a couple days of having just Steve and I here without the kiddo's would really do *US* some good. hmm.... wonder what it would take?

We have an appt. to have family pics done on Thursday this week, I'm contemplating what we'll wear, I'm thinking of the jeans and white t'shirts as we've never done that yet, and I love the look of it.

As for scrappin' well, as it should be taking the backseat -especially since I have GOBS of other stuff that NEEDS to be done, I keep finding myself creeping back in here. I don't even have motivation but I keep trying.

nothing much really.

We had a wasted weekend. It was fil's retirement party on Saturday and I had FULL plans to come home that night. I wasn't drinking -as usual- and figured we'd leave around 9pm. I got the kids somewhat cleaned up and ready for bed, and then before you knew it it was 11pm and they were both passed out. Needless to say *I* was tired, and NOT looking forward to driving home. So we stayed over. I slept with Ally in a single bed and Steve with Dawson in the queen. I heard the clock "BONG" 2am, then 4am -I must have slept for a few winks. Then I heard it again at 6am and was up for the day 46 minutes later. Oh! and I had Heidi in the room with us and it was her first time for a sleepover -without- her kennel. She did a LOT better than I thought she would.

So to sum things up, we had a wasted weekend! :P

I plan to get the laundry done and beds washed today. With the odd imaginary picnic in between ;)

My dh stinks! I have a {wish} to own an African Grey Parrot and he tells me constantly that I can't have one. Period! He has no reason -no, maybe someday, no nothing... just NO! :(
The kids and I went for a walk today, to the LSS it took us about 20 minutes each way. (not bad considering it's hot & humid out there) I was tired before we left but I needed a break from laundry, wanted to get a few of these stickers and figured it would do the kids good to go for a walk. So now I'm back home, hot, tired, deflated and still doing laundry. :sigh:

it was AFTER midnight!

by the time my kids finally were both asleep. Then at around 4 am, I could hear Ally crying which was odd b/c when she wakes in the night (like she does EVERY night) she will just come into our room and climb up into our bed. So I got up to go see what was going on and she wasn't in her bed. The crying was coming from downstairs ? So I went down to see what the heck was going on and here was my sleepy little girl bawling her eyes out at the door. I don't know what she was thinking... Earlier my when my dad brought Dawson home, Ally wanted to go with him. I wonder if she was dreaming about that? ~weird~

I have decided that I'm going to have to be a mean mom to get these kids to listen to me...and it STILL doesn't work! :(

Dawson (5+) is telling me how he wishes he had something to do (I hear this EVERYDAY!) So this week my dad has a week of vacation time. He offered to come and0 pick up Dawson for a sleepover. I had a GREAT afternoon giving Ally some MUCH needed 1 on 1 time. Then Steve and I ate supper, I tidied up and went out for a bit... while I'm out my phone rings, {no big deal as I figured Steve just wondered where I was and possibly wanted me to pick up something. NO.... it was Steve, but he was calling to tell me that Dawson was on his way home. I seriously don't know WHAT is into this kid. We are butting heads a LOT lately and I swear he is doing to me on purpose :( he makes me feel like an awful mother ~even told me he hated me the other day. How sad to hear your 5 year old scream that at you. :sigh:
Oh, and yesterday he decided to start a piece of paper on fire in our living room -boy did THAT freak him out!

I feel so blessed and at the same time I'm just SO tired, that I don't know what to make of things. I just keep turning to God. {think there's a limit to his answers?} ;)

I'm just in the mood to scrapbook, and the longer I'm at the computer, the longer the kids are NOT going to bed therefore the less time I have to scrapbook :P

Stuff to Say

Lately at night (right before drifting off to la la land) I have a million ROCKiN' ideas for scrapbook pages -about me, my ideas, thoughts and other general things about me. And surely enough when I wake up the idea is POOF! as good as gOne-ZO. I've considered keeping a journal/notepad at the table beside my bed... but I am usually not in the position to jot down my ideas. {Yes my darling Ally is a bed hog!} and she falls asleep our bed about 75% of the time lately. I thought maybe if I wrote about it the ideas would come back to me, but so far... nadda!

anyway, what else? Oh! I know, I have pretty much all I ever desired in life... I have the most amazing hubby -even tho' he drinks more than *I* think he should, we have 2 healthy and mostly obedient children {and I always wanted a boy first then a girl- I think b/c I always wanted an older brother} We have our own house, with a pool, a/c, dishwasher, king sized bed in a bedroom with a big window, and a long haired german shepherd. I told Steve, now that I have it all, I feel like I'm waiting for the "hammer" to fall. -maybe if I give my thanks in a Christian way, I'll continue to have the blessings that the Lord has provided for us. :)

Off to try and create something! Ü
